I’m a regular guest at Pant Glas hall, once again the friendly, helpful staff were brilliant. The scenery from the lodge was breathtaking and idilic. The facility top notch and fun friendly areas for my 4 year old nephew. It is also situated in a beautiful part of Wales with so much to see. I can’t wait till next year to come again!

We were in Powys 5.One bedroom lodge.Extremely well equipped. The kitchen had all we needed upon arrival (washing up liquid, cloths etc), plus satchets of coffee, tea bags etc.Cleanliness was spot on!Only one negative was the bed...it was queen size and we like king size or twin beds pushed together - comfort is important as we're in it for 7-8 hours each night. But everything else was excellent. The pool, gym and little bistro bar were good too.Kind, helpful staff - you had the lot - thank you.

This site really is a hidden gem and we had a fantastic long weekend with the family there. The location is very rural and peaceful and the on-site facilities are great, with something for everyone. We travelled as a family group of 6 adults and 2 children and found that the Gwent 2 lodge was brilliantly suited to our needs - 3 double bedrooms and a king size sofa bed. The lodge is equipped to a very high standard (lots of stuff from M&S) and had everything that we needed. Now that we know of the place, we'll definitely be booking to come back in the near future.

Staff are amazingly helpful and friendly.Pantglas Hall is very peaceful and very rural. So relaxing. On site amenities are good.Restaurant themed evenings.Food is good and very large portions.Cafe/bar very comfortable to eat and have a drink.Big thanks to Meryl for her local restaurant recommendation which was amazing. Thanks to the young lady in the bar who very kindly made a liquor coffee for my husband - she had not heard of it before but was happy to have a go, and it was a great success!Staff could not do enough and made it feel like were the only people they had to look after.

We have been coming for many many years and we love the location and peace and quiet. However the cabins are now looking shabby inside and in need of a good spring clean. There is so much competition these days with lovely Air BNB accommodation, the cabins need to be top notch for people to want to return.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Pantglas Hall..The lodge was extremely spacious for 6 people, more than ample storage, 1 en-suite and 1 family bathroom, two generous bedrooms and a sofa bed in the large living room. The lodge was prepared with great care and attention to detail to make sure it met my medical needs. The staff very friendly and efficient and looked after us very well. The food in the restaurant and bar was absolutely delicious.Take-aways also available! We didn’t use the pool, but it looked beautifully clean and inviting. Tennis, football , crazy golf, darts, pool and grassy open spaces for the young ones to play in.Would I recommend Pantglas Hall- most definitely. The best holiday I’ve had in years. Many thanks to all the staff.L and J McBride

We enjoy our week at Pantglas as it allows us to relax. No pressures from family or other commitments. It provides us with a base to revisit places not visited for many years and to explore new attractions. Not able to enjoy the leisure facilities these days due to physical weaknesses.Miss not having the coffee shop open as it used to be.Spent a lot of time reading this holiday because of the weather.Look forward to the next time.

The area the lodges were set in were beautiful, being the grounds of what was once a grand residence. Unfortunately only the clock tower now remains of the main residence. The outbuildings still remain and now house the restaurant, cafe and other facilities. There is also another large outbuilding used an indoor pool and gym area, which looked nice although was not used by us.The gardens and lake of the house are really nice and contain numerous very old and interesting trees. We stayed in a one bedroom lodge on a corner plot which was an ideal size for us and was well furnished and comfortable. However, the lodge itself and some of the contents could do with updating and some TLC. The cooker appeared to be quite old and the grill door did not close properly, and some of the crockery was mis-matched and heavy. There was also some discolouration on the bedroom ceiling which looked like dry mould. We unfortunately had 3 separate issues in the week we were there involving the water supply. At different times we had no hot water, then no cold water and then no hot water again. Luckily we were using the lodge as a base so we could explore the area of Wales around us, so we were out every day, so this did not impact on us greatly. I am sure the families and larger groups staying in the larger lodges would have been more affected by these problems than we were. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful, especially Merryl, who was very knowledgable about the area and great fun to chat to.Overall, we had a lovely holiday, although the weather could have been a lot better, as it was mid-August, but that is not controlled by Pantglas Hall. Beautiful grounds to the resort and stunning surrounding countryside and lots to see and do within a short distance from the resort. A good place to base yourself to visit that part of Wales.

The surrounding countryside is glorious and there are many wonderful places to visit if you are prepared to travel for an hour or so.The lodges are, to be honest, dated, but perfectly functional and beds are comfortable.Pool and facilities are a real bonus.Staff are really friendly and helpful.Hope to be back!

My sister and I stayed for a week in July and we were amazed by how much there is to do in the area (provided you are happy to drive). The Millenium Coast Park is very interesting with an excellent gelateria at the Llanelli end, and we enjoyed the Wool Museum and Lampeter's Quilt Museum.A day in Llandeilo was a delight. We didn't even get to any gardens, castles, Dinefwr or the markets in Carmarthen and Swansea which are all well worth visiting, so we would definitely return. The resort, although full, was very peaceful and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The chalet is old but clean, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. It suited us perfectly.

Booked two lodges for our family group through CLC for first visit here. A few problems initially with uncomfortable beds/ sofa bed but these were quickly resolved once reported . Stunned to have two new single mattresses, one new sofa bed mattress and one double bed overlay delivered within an hour of a visit to our lodges to discuss the issues. All of the staff went above and beyond - without exception. I don’t think I have ever come across such a helpful staff team - nothing was too much trouble. Lodges were clean and reasonably well equipped ( take your own fan in hot weather). Location is really peaceful out in the country - downside of this was the “scent” from the adjacent farm. Swimming pool was a real hit as the weather wasn’t great. Outside play facilities are a bit tired but no doubt there will be a programme to refurbish in due course. Meal in the cafe on the first night was excellent and reasonably priced . Service on the curry night was a bit slower but that didn’t bother us much . Noted the toiletsin the main building have been refurbished to a high standard. All in all Pantglass Hall is ideal for a relaxed family break.

Pantglas is a lovely tranquil 'resort', providing a peaceful rural retreat in a beautiful part of South Wales. The term 'resort' does not convey the homely feeling to Pantglas, as it is more like a 'home from home'.The lodges are well appointed, with a comfortable lounge and a modern stylishbathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped and will cater for your ever need .... you just have to do the catering!!However, if catering is not for you, the Coach House restaurant serves excellent food, or you can just 'turn up' at the coffee shop and order a bar meal to enjoy inside, or on warm summer evenings, out in the courtyard.Additional facilities include a leisure centre with a pool and there is a gym if you really feel energetic! My wife and I love Pantglas - we have been coming for a number of years, and have already booked for 2025. You can always be sure of a friendly welcome at Pantglas!

As ever Pantglas offered a cosy, comfortable and relaxing break in a peaceful, green setting. The lodge is clean, well furnished and well equipped. My only criticism would be that the well used bed settee is not as comfortable to sit on as it once was.The facilities on site are excellent but the opening times of the restaurant are not convenient to us, as we prefer to have our main meal at lunchtime.Fortunately there are excellent alternatives locally. This was our second visit this year and we are back for a week in September which says it all.

Another 2 weeks of pure relaxation and enjoyment in a lodge that is fully equipped and feels like a home from home. Enjoyed great meals in both the on-site coffee shop and also the on-site restaurant. Didn't use the pool and gym this time as had lots of day trips to places nearby but our neighbours went every day and loved their swim. Really enjoyed seeing the wildlife on site. I put feeders in the tree and love watching the array of birds including woodpeckers and nuthatches. Lots of squirrels and saw hedgehogs and foxes too. A peaceful place to relax and unwind with loads of interesting places to visit within an hours drive. Highly recommended.

We visited just before Spring Bank Holiday and it was very quiet. The setting was really peaceful and the area was well located for visits to nearby places of interest. The lodge was well equipped and clean. All the staff in the resort were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the Welsh evening, the food was lovely and the staff created a great atmosphere in the restaurant. The themed music and log fire added to the atmosphere. The food in the cosy cafe area was also excellent, very generous portions for those with a big appetite. We used the swimming pool/spa area and once again the assistant on duty was very helpful and friendly. Only issue of note in the lodge was that the shower cubicle did not have anywhere to put things on i.e. shelves or tables. We moved a chair from the dining area to solve this problem.

Pant glas hall holds a space in my heart and memories. We stay for week 52 (new year) every year and always look forward to our stay. This year especially felt like the team have made a huge turnaround since covid . We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was huge and tasty. The atmosphere was warm and cozy the kids and adults enjoyed the facilities, pool, snooker, darts, pingpong and much more. We also enjoyed spending time at the onsite swimming pool and gym. The staff there are always friendly and helpful. To pre warn anyone else thinking of staying its dated and could do with a makeover, but its clean and for the price I doubt you will find a place like it. Like my title says 35 years!!! It even rained 60% of the week and I still enjoyed being there. May PGH continue for many more decades. P.s maybe its time to allow well behaved pooches and owners now 😘

Pantglas is an independent timeshare and it shows in the warm and friendly welcome you receive from all the staff, who clearly enjoy working there. The lodges are timber, very much 80s style, but have been updated and are well maintained. The resort was quiet the week before Christmas so food was surved in the cafe/bar, but was excellent and reasonably priced. The pool and sauna are great and well maintained and unlike in many resorts were open for at least 12 hours per day with an attendant present.I look forward to a return visit!

Stayed here with our two teenage sons for a week in one of the Dyfed lodges. The lodge was lovely and spacious, extremely well equipped and the wood burning stove was wonderful. We made the most of the fantastic health suite facilities and enjoyed a swim, sauna and hot-tub every day. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful- a special mention for the lovely lass who manned the pool during the morning sessions for whom nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are gorgeous, I spent a lovely morning sketching down at the pond and noting the wide variety of birds and insects. The forementioned teens enjoyed the Wi-Fi, which was excellent, and playing pool.We were mostly here to visit family in Llanelli in the evenings so didn't have the opportunity to try the bar or bistro but the prices looked very reasonable and the choices were good.Location was relatively remote and quiet, which is exactly what we came for though close enough to the A40 and therefore great for Carmarthen, Swansea, Llandeilo etc. The stars were astounding on clear nights thanks to the lack of light pollution. We came looking for a relaxing holiday in stunning surroundings and that is exactly what we got. We will definitely be back.

The resort is great and does wonders for your mental health as surrounded by very tall trees and acres of countryside where you can wander. We just wanted a relaxing time so did not use the indoor swimming pool, which we have done in the past, or games room and we did not go for walks. We had a lovely Sunday lunch in the main restaurant where we were joined by 4 family members and several meals in the cafe which were all good value for money. We have been here 5 times in the last 2 years and have already booked again for next year. Can't wait for our next visit.

we booked our stay through Hoeseasons and did not really know what to expect, upon our arrival we went to the bar to get a coffee as we were half an hour early for check in. were met by some very friendlyteam members, after coffee we went to check in and again, the lady on reception was really friendly and welcoming, with site map and keys in hand, we went to find our lodge, wow, just wow.the lodge was clean, comfy and equiped with everything we could possibly need, including a full size dishwasher and under couter fridge and freezer, welcome tea and coffee and milk was provided along with dish cloth and tea towel.the bed was super comfy and all made up for our arrival, it was delightful.we ventured to the bar for our evening meal and the menu had lots of choice. the young lads who worked on the bar were fabulous.the site was incredibly peaceful, just what was needed for a restful break.i can not praise pantglas hall and its team enough,a wonderful place, thank you for a fabulous holiday x

Despite a rainy week myself and friend had a good time. The chalet was comfortable and well presented. Here are a few comments which relate to the "not quite as expected" title. I have travelled to CLC resorts a number of times so was suprised that there wasn't a welcome pack (milk, juice, bread, portions of spread and jam) nor were there any toiletries (even the most basic hotels/B&B offer toiletries). There wasn't a plug point near a mirror for the haidryer (although this happens in a lot of hotels). The single oven glove was inadequate to lift a hot dish out of the oven. No pan lids (to retain heat) and no large pan. It would be useful to have more crockery as the bare minimum provided means having to put a half empty dishwasher on which isn't cost effective. A couple of trays would be nice in case guests wish to not sit at the table. Also a small outdoor folding table for drinks/nibbles to be placed on. Need more than one wooden spoon and more than one sharp knife. Good selection of glassware, and a full size under counter freezer - excellent. The information on the Restaurant v bistro and coffee bar lounge is confusing. The door to the formal dining room says "Restaurant" the instructions say "Bistro". Bar staff called the formal area both Bistro and restaurant? The food was very good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I don't understand why (having not used the firewood/kindling and coal) we weren't entitled to a refund. Smacks of a stealth tax!

We drove down in rain, but lucky enough to unpack car during a dry spell, and stepped into a little bit of heaven, a lodge that had everything that we required.Had a very pleasant Sunday lunch in the restaurant and although they were a little behind in preparing everything we were on holiday so what was the rush.It rained all week, but we were very able to relax in a comfortable lodge with beautiful views and best of all no noisy neighbors.Bliss.Enjoyed the week and the staff were excellent in helping us with all that we required. They are an extremely friendly crowd.Look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future, fingers crossed no rain and we can get out and about to visit the glories of the area.Would highly recommend Pantglas Hall to families, young couples and the more mature couples, something for everyone

Very spacious in the 2 bed cabin. Well equipped and clean. Meals in restaurant were excellent as well as the service and a good varied choice on the menu. This was my third visit and I fully intend to return in a couple of years. The heated indoor swimming pool was a good size and a added bonus of a jacuzzi and sauna. My only wish would have been the cafe to open earlier to serve breakfast or lunchtime drinks and snacks. On my last visit the cafe opened at 10am but this didn't spoil my holiday. Absolutely love Pantglas Hall.

We have been coming to Pantglas-hall.co.uk for 10 years now and love the warm welcome from the staff. Meryl is a national treasure, so friendly and helpful. The site is such a relaxing place to stay. Food is amazing at both the coffee shop and restaurant. The swimming pool, gym, tennis courts etc provide plenty of opportunity for exercise and fun. The lodges are comfortable and well equipped. Loads of wildlife in the grounds. I love sitting watching the many birds who come to visit if you provide peanuts and sunflower seed hearts etc for them. Squirrels, hedgehogs etc too. A fantastic base for visiting Carmarthenshire and only 1 and 1/2 hour drive to Cardiff. Great coastline around Pembrokeshire for those who like walking. The only place I want to return to year after year.

Fish and Chips. _ the number of chips was 3times to much, better to have less, but better quality or fresh not frozen, same with the fish. I would like a better quality meal, especially from a 5star resort, with the same price (reduce chip portion)Staf very good as usual, including new staf. Grounds And facilities excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first ever visit to Carmarthenshire, thanks largely to some lovely sunny weather, but also to the comfortable accommodation and tranquil surrounds at Pantglas Resort. Our log cabin was spacious and well equipped, and although some updating would be desirable, we had everything in the way of equipment and facilities needed for a successful week's holiday. The new bathrooms were excellent, as was the TV and the free wifi, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped, if the appliances were rather dated. Most of all, we loved the quiet and attractive setting, a perfect holiday location and well within reach of a wide range of attractions and destinations. Pantglas is a resort we would happily return to on this showing.

Pantglas Hall is a great base to visit Wales South; there are so many castles, gardens, beaches & interesting places within an easy drive. The site itself was clean, the staff very friendly & the facilities in good shape.Unfortunately we had a full day without water on our last day; not the fault of the site but of the local water company.Otherwise we would have given 5 stars!

We stayed for 3 nights with our two children. We easily could've stayed for a week. There's plenty to do on site if you did want to stay put for a day. We loved swimming and the great play area with crazy golf. The gym is a little outdated but certainly does the job. All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate twice at the bistro and the food was great. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many vegan options on the menu! Theres also a play room for the children close to the bistro which was helpful to burn some energy before bed! This is a great base for exploring the castles and popular areas in the south of Wales. You do need a car to go anywhere outside of the resort but there's alot around within easy reach. We upgraded our Lodge from Gwent 2 to Dyfed 5 after a recommendation. So glad we did. It was a lovely lodge right next to the pool, gym and play area. It was very spacious, clean and with everything you could need. The only thing I think could be added, would be to have a food/drink outlet by the outdoor play area so families could even dine up there when the weather is nice and the kids can run wild. Although there are picnic benches. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to come back again.

Thank you, Pantglas, for a truly memorable family holiday.Pantglas really is ideal for a family with energetic children. The facilities (swimming pool, gym, table tennis, darts, crazy golf, outdoor adventure playground) are first class, and accessible at all times during the day.The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them.Clwyd chalet has three enormous bedrooms (one with balcony), a comfortable lounge and dining area, and a very well equipped kitchen. This part of Wales is really beautiful, and if you can drag yourselves away from Pantglas, you can visit Llandeilo, with its antique shops, and unique main street, Aberglasney (an historic house with amazing gardens), National Botanic Gardens, and of course, the beaches of Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire. This is our second visit, but definitely not our last!

Lovely warm lodge. Parts need updating but appreciate not easy to keep all lodges up to date with furniture etc. Staff very helpful and friendly,as usual. Cafe area looking very nice, tea lights and flowers, very clean. Staff there were great. Granddaughter meal very good. One negative experience was a rather selfish couple and their 2 teenagers who continued to throw a football between themselves , the length of the pool and all areas within, after we (4 adults and 2 young children) had got in the water. The teenagers were jumping in whenever the ball got thrown out, irrelevant of where any of us were trying to swim. You couldn't swim in a straight line. My granddaughter wanted to go out, which was a bit sad. Another couple with a very small baby got in, stayed in one corner and left pretty soon- not very safe environment with a large size football being thrown with force all over the pool! The pool attendant was very friendly and welcoming but didn't ask the family to stop when other people got in, which I think she shoukd have. No point having an attendant there if people can do exactly as they wish with no consideration of anyone else. She shouldn't have had to ask them to behave but some people just don't care.It does say on a wallboard that ball games, jumping in etc shoukd not happen. They would probably blame the resort very quickly if one of them had got injured! The pool water was cold due to a fault , which was unfortunate but accept that can happen now and again.Hope it's fixed now.Apart from the above it was a pleasant stay.

The staff are always friendly and helpful the coffee shop and resturant serve good reasonably priced food for which many ingredients are locally sourced. The pool and gym are well maintained and used both by guests and local residents. The lodge we were in this time was near bird tables and we very much enjoyed watching the many types of birds that visited. We were here for my husband's 50th birthday with the family in 5 lodges. It was perfect! Great location, in the middle of nowhere but just 15 mins from Landeilo and Carmarthen. The lodges had everything we needed and more. The facilities suited the 9, 13 and 80+ year olds as well as the 21-53 aged members. The good sized heated indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, the gym, table tennis, snooker, pool etc kept us rested and entertained for 3 days. Sunday Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous, Nia the chef even chatted to us about her menu options. The Bailey's, choc chip bread and butter pudding is a must try! The roast dinners were yummy and so were the vegetarian and pescatarian options!Actually, besides the location and the facilities, it was the lovely staff that made our stay perfect. From Alison on reception even before we arrived to Nia the chef, and the lovely bar/cafe staff, everyone went over and above to be friendly, helpful and accommodating of our large mixed family group. Thank you all! We'll definitely go back in the future.

As always, Pantglas provides just what we need for time away from our busy work lives. We have stayed in Dyfed and the Gwynedd lodges now and both are well equipped and so cosy.We holiday out of season so the woodburner isan added bonus. The coffee shop and restaurant provide excellent meals and the staff are friendly, what more can I say apart from we are already looking forward to our next stay in March 2020!

The resort is located in a beautiful and peaceful rural location. The cabin was very well equipped and maintained. The staff were extremely helpful with a great welcome meeting with loads of information on local attractions. The cafe and restaurant had a limited menu and were only open part of the week but the prices were very reasonable.

This was our 3rd time of staying at Pantglas, different lodges each time to suit requirements. Latest lodge was lovely, well fitted out and location was good. Hope to visit again soon.

An enjoyable week despite the weather. Enjoying the tranquillity that Pantglas offers.Antiques in Llandeilo, National Botanical Gardens, Golden Grove, Aberglasney, Carmarthen market, Llansteffan, Red Kite, Wool museum in Drefach Felindre not visited for 10 years as well as the steak evening and meals in the coffee shop. Lodge still pretty good and a pleasant place to stay. Didn't use leisure facilities and mistimed a visit to the gym when it was very busy. A very enjoyable week. Diolch yn fawr.

Another excellent week st Pantglas!! Well, the weather could have been better (and drier) but enough on site to entertain the grandchildren, and lots of activities in the local area.Pantglas staff are so supportive - nothing is too much trouble!!Definitely recommend...

As always, very quiet and relaxing. Excellent standard of accomadation. Distinct lack of wildlife compared to previous years (rabbits & squirrals). Not as much recycling as we are used to at home.

Having stayed here as an owner over many years, Pant Glas was at its best this year especially the grounds and the trees.Spotted a frog no more than a 20 pence piece in the grass outside G2 and 2 red admirals - good to see them.

We stayed in a lodge for a long weekend whilst we were working in the area. It made a lovely change from a hotel. The Lodge was comfortable with good beds and sofas. It was clean and everything worked. The pool and gym were well maintained. We will come back with the family for another visit.

If you're looking for a relaxing break but with keep-fit facilities - look no further! Pantglas Hall offers an amazing countryside setting, where you simply bask in the glory of your rural location and let the wildlife entertain you. Its the kind of place where you end your holiday wanting more but with a toned body thanks to the gym, pool, and sauna, not to mention the heaven-sent walks. It truly is a must, and I cant wait to go again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The lodge grounds and facilities were very well kept and clean. We loved the cabin, it was perfect for us. It was just missing a chopping board and we thought champagne flutes would have been a nice touch. It really was fantastic. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back.

What a lovely, friendly place this was. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. All the staff we so caring towards our granddaughters, they made us very welcome. Our cabin was a little bit dated but this made it quite charming. It was clean and had everything we needed. I would have liked WiFi in the cabin as when the children are in bed that iswhen I do a lot of online work.We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Prior to our arrival, I spoken to a few members of staff regarding our stay. On every occasion, all members of the staff were extremely polite, well mannered and very knowledgeable in all areas. The lodge it self was clean and tidy ,fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. I would highly recommend this holiday to everyone, we all had a fantastic time and look forward to coming back again.
